Jemima Osunde reacts to Nigerian passport price increment

Jemima Osunde cries out over new prices of international passport

Jemima Osunde has reacted to the increment in Nigeria’s International passport fees.

Days back the Federal Government announced an increase in the prices of Nigeria’s international passport.

According to NIS, the increment was part of efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport, and the new charges take effect from 1st September 2024.

The spokesman for the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kenneth Udo, on the X handle of the NIS wrote in part:

“Based on the review, a 32-page passport booklet with five-year validity previously charged at N35,000 will now be N50,000 only; while a 64-page passport booklet with 10-year validity which was N70,000 will be N100,000 only.”

Reacting to the news via the micro-blogging platform X, actress Jemima Osunde lamented how she should have done a 10-year passport prior the increment.

She added that as an unmarried lady who didn’t want to go through the rigorous process of name change on the passport, she didn’t get hers.

Jemima Osunde who recently revealed she might undergo toe surgery added that she still prefers the passport increment to the name change hassle. She wrote:

“Me that I should’ve done 10 years passport, I was doing what if I marry.
SMH.

I still choose this over the name change hassle sha”.
