Your song needs to keep up with current trends – Do2dtun advises artists

Do2dtun Provides Insights on How To Navigate Music Industry

Media personality Do2dtun has shared valuable advice for musicians seeking to make a lasting impact in the industry.

According to him, creating music that resonates with a diverse audience, including children, women, and the elderly, is key to success.

Do2dtun suggests that a song’s appeal to these three demographics simultaneously can lead to widespread popularity.

He also highlighted the importance of staying current and adapting to trends, rather than completely reinventing one’s style.

The media personality emphasized the equal importance of talent and personality in achieving long-term success, warning that relying solely on one aspect can lead to changing fame.

He also stressed the significance of authenticity, as audiences can recognize insincerity.

He wrote:

“3 (three) types of people your music need to appeal to in whatever age bracket in their demography Kids , Women, Eld*rly.

“If these 3 categories of people can rock to your song unhinged at the same time then you have a certified hit song”.

In another news, Do2dtun lamented over the Nigerian artistes charging in dollars to perform in Nigeria .

The OAP took to social media to voice his frustration, highlighting the increasing trend of local talents opting to receive payment in dollars.

He claimed that even though the musicians and their genre are native to the country, booking payments are now expressed in US dollars, even for performances in Nigeria.

Taking to his X handle, Do2dtun wrote:

This Afrobeat we all built together, na Una go use Una hands spoil am. You now charge your own people in dollars. Forget to unlock the togetherness the genre gives you and your people. Quite strange and bizarre.”
