Sorrow grips Nollywood over movie producer Sharon Okpamen’s tragic death after childbirth

The industry, along with her loved ones and fans, is left to mourn the loss of a rising star whose life was cruelly cut short just when she was about to embark on the most profound journey of all—motherhood. Tributes continue to pour in, filled with sorrow and disbelief

The Nigerian movie industry has been plunged into a sea of grief yet again as the tragic news of young movie producer Sharon Okpamen’s death spreads like wildfire.

Sharon, a vibrant force in the Edo entertainment scene, was not just a filmmaker but also an entrepreneur and a devoted humanitarian whose passion for life was as evident off-screen as it was on.

Her colleague, Stanley Ontop, broke the heartbreaking news on Instagram, revealing that Sharon died during childbirth, a time that should have marked a new beginning instead turned into a cruel end.

A poignant comment from a fan, Prince Selena Small Chop, under Stanley’s post, painted a more somber picture of Sharon’s final moments.

According to the fan, Sharon slipped into a coma following the birth of her child, teetering on the edge of life and death. Sadly, she never made it back to the light.
