Bukunmi Oluwasina addresses death rumour on social media

Bukunmi Oluwasina sends message to those wishing her death

Nigerian actress cum filmmaker, Bukunmi Oluwasina has responded to rumours about her passing, making it clear that she is very much alive.

Taking to her Instagram page, Bukunmi Oluwasina posted a black-and-white image of herself with a shaved head.

She accompanied the photo with a strong message stating:

“Everyone wishing You or Me death, shall be buried before the end of 2024.”

This post comes in the wake of swirling rumours on social media falsely claiming the actress’s death. A video has gone viral on TikTok on Sunday August 26, claiming Bukunmi Oluwasina died. It was also reported on YouTube.

On Sunday, the Jagun Jagun star also shared a post with the caption:

“Psalm 118:17 #HappySunday🥂.”

The verse reads, “I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done,” further emphasising her defiance against the baseless claims.

Bukunmi married her longtime partner Ebun in September 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child in March 2021.

Meanwhile veteran Nollywood actor, Ganiu Nafiu, professionally known as Baba Alapini, Tayo Oladiran aka Abeni Agbon and some other actors have shown their grievance with the way some bloggers wish them death.

In a video clip sighted online, Alapini wore a white short and T-shirt with flannel similar to his herbalist costume in movies. Abeni Agbon and some other actresses wore herbalist regalia as well.

They took turns to rain curses on the people who start rumours on social media about actors alleged death simply to chase clout and get paid.

According to Alapini some bloggers are fond of writing ‘rest in peace’ on pictures of actors despite the fact that they are still alive, well and kicking.

The video showed the actors in a shrine-looking room as they ranted and rained curses naysayers.
