Nigerian football sensation Victor Osimhen has taken drastic measures to shield himself from the intense backlash he’s facing on social media.
The Napoli striker disabled the comment section on his Instagram account after being criticized for his alleged donation of N3 million to popular crossdresser Bobrisky.
The controversy erupted when Bobrisky revealed that he had received millions from various male celebrities and fans, with Osimhen’s reported N3 million contribution sparking widespread outrage.
Fans took to social media platforms to express their discontent, directing their anger towards Osimhen and other celebrities who had donated to Bobrisky.
As the backlash intensified, Osimhen opted to lock his Instagram comments, effectively preventing fans from reacting to his posts. This move was seen as a defensive measure to protect himself from the barrage of negative comments and criticism.
Still, on the issue, a wave of fury swept across the Instagram page of Nigerian music legend, Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, after revelations of his alleged substantial financial donation to Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky.
Enraged fans, feeling betrayed and bewildered, have unleashed their wrath, bombarding his social media pages with relentless attacks.
This uproar followed Bobrisky’s recent bombshell, where he publicly showered praise and gratitude on the male celebrities who generously opened their wallets, collectively donating a staggering N30.6 million to him.
This was after he had already caused quite a stir by honoring top female celebrities, including Tonto Dikeh and Funke Akindele, who had collectively contributed N18.7 million to his cause.
But the real shocker came when Bobrisky decided to turn the spotlight on the men who stood by him, revealing some heavy hitters: Mavin Records’ own Don Jazzy allegedly sent a jaw-dropping N4 million, football sensation Victor Osimhen pitched in with N3 million, actor Yhemo Lee chipped in N1.5 million, and socialite Abu Abel added N1 million to the mix.
The male celebrities on Bobrisky’s list have since found themselves in a hot seat, but none more so than Don Jazzy.
His fans are particularly outraged by what they see as a betrayal of traditional values, launching a full-scale verbal assault, accusing him of throwing his weight behind the normalization of gay practice in Nigeria.
