- In a post on the photo and video sharing website, Instagram on Saturday, Obesere revealed that the surgery almost took his life, but he escaped death.
Veteran Fuji musician Abass Akande Obesere, popularly known as Obesere or Omo Rapala, has revealed that he survived a life-threatening surgery.
Obesere on Saturday posted a photo of himself on Instagram receiving treatment in a hospital bed, expressing his gratitude to God for his survival.
He captioned the post:
“Alhamdulillah. The Almighty Allah has been merciful to me. I escaped a surgery that almost took my life, but Allah said NO!”
The post quickly garnered responses from fans and fellow celebrities, who expressed their relief and offered prayers for his recovery.
Actor Yinka Quadri commented, “I wish you a quick recovery.”
Fellow Fuji musician KS1 Malaika added, “Wow, Alhamdulilah, Alhamdulilah, keep living in good health, my brother.”
Salawa Abeni, Waka musician wrote in Yoruba, “Adupe oo Olohun. Ayoku bi owo lagbara Olohun. Wish you a speedy recovery, Insha Allah, amin.”
Desola Afod also shared her well-wishes, saying, “God will perfect His healing on you, sir.”
Days ago, popular Nigerian music video director and cinematographer, Thankgod Omori, better known as TG Omori, underwent a kidney transplant surgery in Lagos.
TG Omori called on his fans to pray for him as he continues to battle the kidney ailment.
He revealed that his kidney got damaged last year.
This was after TG Omori aka Boy Director revealed his only brother donated one kidney to him.
TG Omori made this known on Tuesday, August 27 while opening up on his health challenges. He said the now unsuccessful kidney transplant took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.
