Blackface calls for Plantashun Boiz’s reunion

Blackface Advocates for Plantashun Boiz Reunion

Singer Augustine Amedu Obiabo, also known as Blackface, has expressed his desire for a reunion of the defunct music group Plantashun Boiz.

The group, which consisted of Blackface, 2Face, and Faze, was active in the early 2000s.

In a recent Instagram post, Blackface called on his former bandmates to reunite, emphasizing the importance of unity.

He encouraged fans to support his initiative, stating that the group’s reunion could contribute to a broader mission of promoting world peace.

He wrote:

Plantashun Boiz, the question now is to be or not to be and why? @fazealone @official2baba.

“My people, oya make una talk put mouth for this matter! We are on a mission for world peace and it’s not a small thing!

“Unity is strength and not division. Let’s go champs.”

Blackface’s appeal comes years after the group’s initial split in 2004, following the release of their second album “Sold Out.”

Although they briefly reunited in 2007 for a third album “Plan B,” they eventually went their separate ways again.

Recall that Blackface had earlier stated that he didn’t see the possibility of Plantashun Boiz reunion.

He further emphasized that if a reunion was possible, it would have already happened, citing the lack of effort from his former group members to discuss a potential reunion.

“If it is something that would have happened, the members would have deemed it fit to sit down and discuss going forward. Of which they haven’t done and don’t want to do. I don’t want to cajole someone into doing what they don’t want to do” Blackface explained.

When asked about his current relationship with his former bandmates, Blackface revealed that he maintains a friendly connection with Faze and 2Baba’s family but has little contact with 2Baba himself, He clarified:

I talk to Faze and I talk to brothers of Innocent Idibia [2Baba]. His family are all my friends. But personally me and him we have nothing to discuss. It has to be business. There is no need waiting for who is not ready to be committed to a project.”
