Ayra Starr blows hot over death of FUNAAB student killed by OOU serial killer

The loss of Christianah is a reminder that we live in a world where trust can be turned into a weapon, where the people who claim to care for us can be the very ones who end our lives. Ayra Starr’s plea for justice isn’t just about Christianah; it’s about the feminine world. It’s about ending the cycle of violence that haunts women at every turn, and demanding that we finally, finally start to see women as more than just victims

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has added her voice to the widespread outrage following the gruesome murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

Christianah’s life was brutally cut short in a horrifying betrayal by her so-called ‘friend’ Ayomide Adeleye, a man now unmasked as not just a cold-blooded killer but a potential serial murderer.

The shocking news broke on September 5, 2024, sending waves of revulsion across social media. Ayomide Adeleye, a 200-level student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), was revealed as the primary suspect in Christianah’s murder after being apprehended weeks after she was declared missing.

As news of this grotesque crime spread, it drew the attention of prominent figures, including singer Ayra Starr.

Known for her bold and fearless voice in music, Ayra took to her official X page, where she expressed her shock and disgust at the heinous act.

The Sabi Girl did not hold back, passionately calling for justice for Christianah and every woman who has suffered under the brutal hands of men like Adeleye.

She emphasized that enough is enough, demanding that men stop the senseless killing and assault of women, firmly stating that women deserve better.

In her words:

“Stop killing us ! Stop rap!ng us ! Women deserve better.”

The horrifying details of the case, which started on August 19, 2024, when Christianah was reported missing, are the stuff of nightmares.

Adeleye, posing as a ‘friend,’ according to reports, abducted her, and in a sickening twist of cruelty, contacted her parents via WhatsApp, demanding a ransom of N3 million while all along knowing she was already dead.

Further investigation into Adeleye’s dark past revealed a chilling history of violence. Not only did he murder Christianah, but new evidence suggests that he also killed his ex-girlfriend in 2018, and, shockingly, his own blood sister in 2020.

Adeleye reportedly buried Christianah’s body within his compound, concealing his heinous crime while pretending to be her friend.
