Why I took a break from Nollywood, returned, and then hit pause again – Omotola Jalade (VIDEO)

Omotola is operating on a whole different level now. She’s evolving, growing, and when she returns, she’s ready to burn the screen brighter than ever before

Omotola Jalade, the legendary Nigerian actress, has finally decided to break her silence on why she’s been in and out of the movie industry, keeping fans guessing and craving her return.

After much anticipation, she took to her social media page to clear the air and address the burning questions that have been swirling around her absence from the silver screen.

Now based in the U.S., Omotola Jalade posted a video from a laid-back, cozy setting, where she appeared chilled yet confident, as she tackled the one question on every fan’s mind: Why has she been so distant from Nollywood, popping in for a moment and then disappearing again?.

She opened up about why her appearances on the silver screen have been few and far between, and gave fans a glimpse into the last film she shot while back in Nigeria.

But that wasn’t all—she went all-in with her caption, throwing the spotlight on fans who’ve been side-eyeing her recent pattern of disappearing and reappearing like Nollywood’s very own enigma.

Omotola also addressed a provocative question that referenced a statement she made in a viral interview years ago, where she revealed she started her acting career at just 15, that insinuated she had ditched the successful career she built as a teenager.

According to her, she’s hit a crucial turning point in her illustrious career and life, where it’s essential to relax, relive, relearn, and recharge—a statement she delivered rhetorically with bold conviction.

Her words;

“I know many Never understand why I take time off Movies for a few years then come back and do it again!

*Lol..,I see fans asking when I’ll be back on screens but when you’ve been working since you were 15! like I have…

“You’ll do good to Relax, Relive, Relearn and Re-charge.,Who Understands & Who’s Following”
