Nigerian actress Empress Njamah sent social media into a frenzy with a jaw-dropping video where she teasingly yet pointedly called out her colleague, Mercy Johnson, and her politician hubby, Prince Odi Okojie.
In a no-holds-barred rant, Empress spared no detail as she laid bare the saga of her grand, failed attempt to celebrate and surprise the power couple.
It all started when Mercy Johnson, one of the queens of Nollywood, celebrated her monumental 40th birthday alongside her 13th wedding anniversary with her husband. Friends, family, and fellow celebs were lining up to shower them with love, but Empress had something bigger in mind.
In her first video, Empress didn’t mince words. She unleashed her frustration, explaining how she tried and failed to reach the couple on their big day, despite endless attempts. She even showed off her trail of unanswered texts, building anticipation for the bombshell she was about to drop in a follow-up video.

In the second video, Empress revealed that she had gone above and beyond to orchestrate an intimate celebration for Mercy and Prince, a full-on surprise gathering, all to commemorate their big day. But in a Nollywood-worthy plot twist, Empress, said she was left high and dry when the couple ghosted her.
Empress recounted, with dramatic flair, how she made three exhaustive attempts across four days to surprise the couple. She even went so far as to pull Mercy from her busy schedule on Yvonne Jegede’s film set, all to make the magic happen.
But alas, according to her, Mercy didn’t show up—not once! Instead, Empress found herself sitting with her crew, munching on the small chops and cakes that had been meticulously prepared for the no-show couple.
Through it all, Empress kept the vibe playful but with a clear sting of annoyance. After all, she claimed she didn’t just put in the work—she put in her heart.
Despite the foiled plans, Empress graciously ended her video by sending good wishes to the couple.
