- Opeyemi Famakin has cried out over an alleged threat to his life.
- The food critic who is currently in Imo State made a review of Cubana Chief Priest’s restaurant in the same state.
- Things took a different turn when Famakin shared a DM from Cubana Chief Priest claiming he is being threatened.
Popular food critic, Opeyemi Famakin, has taken to social media to call out entertainment mogul, Cubana Chief Priest, over an alleged threat to his life.
Recall Famakin had posted his review online after visiting Cubana Chief Priest’s restaurant on September 11, 2024, in Imo State.
In an Instagram post, Opeyemi Famakin praised the restaurant’s ambiance and aesthetics but noted that the pastries should not have been pre-made and microwaved.
In response, Cubana Chief Priest took to the comment section and expressed gratitude to the food critic for visiting his restaurant, saying, “Thank you for visiting, Foodie. Wishing you all the best!”
However, things took a different turn on Thursday, September 12, 2024, when Opeyemi Famakin accused Chief Priest of threatening him over the review.
To support his claim, he posted screenshots of their conversations.
In the screenshot, Chief Priest wrote:
“Karma is real, you must pay for whatever you sow in life. I don’t fight lowlifes, I leave them to karma. The business you did your wicked review for is owned by a 6-year-old.”
Captioning the screenshot, Famakin urged the public to hold Chiefpriest responsible should anything happen to him. He wrote:
“I know a threat when I see one. I guess it’s time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, well, you know who to hold. I love how he was polite in the comment section for the world to see, but it was a different tone in my DMs.”
