Obi is not generous, didn’t dash me money – Portable laments during meeting with politician in Benin (VIDEO)

This unexpected meeting sparked a wildfire of reactions, igniting a heated debate on social media about the politician's "no-nonsense" approach to money and Portable’s brazen expectation for a handout. The unusual clash of personalities between the outspoken singer and the reserved politician is a classic case of mixing oil and water

Nigerian music sensation and king of controversy, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has let loose a fiery rant after his recent encounter with 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and trust me—it’s got tongues wagging.

In a video that’s blowing up all over social media, Portable, who was in Benin, Edo State for a show, crossed paths with Obi, who was in town drumming up support for Labour Party’s gubernatorial hopeful, Olumide Akpata.

What started as a seemingly cordial exchange quickly took a sharp, unexpected twist.

Portable never one to bite his tongue, voiced his disappointment there and there, after meeting Obi. According to him, despite his attempts to cozy up to the politician, Obi didn’t drop a dime for him or his squad.

He didn’t hold back, boldly claimed the outcome would have been different if it had been President Bola Tinubu, essentially calling Obi out for being stingy.

Speaking passionately in Yoruba, Portable went off, saying, “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
