Portable apologizes for slapping preacher after 3-day ultimatum [VIDEO]

Portable makes u-turn, apologizes for attacking preacher

Controversial street-pop star, Portable, has begged for forgiveness after he slapped a pastor who came to preach at his bar.

Recall that the singer was a few days ago caught on camera slapping a pastor.

Following the attack, Portable faced backlash from netizens’ and other preachers who threatened to take action against him for assaulting a man of God.

Amongst them was Gospel artiste, Testimony Jaga whose response publicly condemned the act in a post shared on his instagram page on Friday.

Jaga expressed that if the pastor had indeed done something wrong, the proper course of action would have been to involve the authorities, rather than Portable taking matters into his hands.

The gospel singer ended his statement by warning that if Portable fails to apologise within three days, there could be further consequences.

However, addressing the controversy in a video he shared in the midnight on Monday, Portable attributed his actions to past experience.

While begging God for forgiveness, he explained that he attacked the preacher because he thought he was there to cause him spiritual harm. In Portable’s words:

“My fans, community issues are different from that of the street. May God forgive me. I didn’t know he was a genuine man of God. If I knew I wouldn’t have slapped him.

“I’m also a child of God. I’m human, I’m not perfect. I am an orphan. They have harmed my sister through this same strategy.”
