‘I relocated from UK to take part in BBNaija’ – Ben

Ben, Former BBNaija Contestant, Shares Motivation for Joining the Show

Newly evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Benjamin Olufemi (Ben), has revealed his reasons for relocating from the UK to participate in the reality TV series.

In a recent interview with journalists, Ben, a nightlife promoter, explained that he sought to leverage the platform to expand his business.

Ben credited fellow housemate Tjay for encouraging him to join the show, emphasizing the flexibility of his schedule as a permanent UK resident.

He noted the challenges of preparing for his departure, including settling his bills before leaving the UK.

He said:

First and foremost, I’m not doing a 9 to 5 job. Tjay reached out to me and said let us pair together. So if I was doing a 9 to 5 or under a student’s visa, I would not have come.

“But I’m a permanent resident in the UK, so nightlife is on the weekend. I came for Big Brother to push my nightlife 100%. To sell myself. I tell people that I organise parties, and people would come to my parties.

“People now even use the tagline number, Action Ben, no party. But the most difficult part for me was I had to pay all my bills before coming.”

Ben had earlier opened up on plan to sue Handi and Wanni over sexual harassment allegations.

Ben made this known during his media rounds on Monday. Recall that Wanni had alleged that she caught Ben touching her sister, Handi’s nipple while she was sleeping.

Reacting to the allegation, Ben said he has informed his lawyer and management to take necessary action.

He added that he is awaiting the footage from the organizers of the show. In his words:

“I have informed my lawyer and management about the issue.

“I have also asked the organizers to release footage to press charges against Wanni and Handi for accusing me of touching her inappropriately.

“There are four cameras in that area, there is no way none of them captured something like that. I will press charges.”
