Rema responds to claims about him worshipping the devil (VIDEO)
  • In recent years, Rema has cast a spell of fascination and controversy with his dark imagery, leaving many to wonder if he’s embraced sinister influences.
  • In a compelling new interview, he addresses the firestorm of rumors head-on, unraveling the mysterious allure behind his concerts and music videos steeped in these themes

Nigerian sensation Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has finally confronted the swirling rumors that have labeled him a devil worshiper due to his striking use of bat imagery and other dark representations over the past few years.

In a riveting and new episode of the ‘Kids Take Over’ podcast, the ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker, opened up about the most outrageous rumors that have circulated about him, declaring that the accusation of being “a devil worshiper” stands out as the wildest.

His words;

“They say worship the devil [laughs]. It’s crazy. I didn’t respond to it because it is not important. It’s a waste of time.”

Rema, in new video, passionately clarified that the symbols he incorporates into his art are deeply rooted in Edo culture, not in any sinister beliefs.

He emphasized that his creative expression reflects his heritage and artistic vision rather than any allegiance to the occult.

The music star shared insights into his collaboration with Canadian superstar Drake back in 2020 for the leaked track “Mention Me.

This comes on the heels of Rema teaming up with his close industry buddy Ayra Starr, as they set social media ablaze with their dynamic dance moves to his latest track.

The chemistry between the two artists had fans buzzing, but it was Rema’s striking facial appearance that truly stole the show and ignited a whirlwind of reactions.

While fans initially flocked to the infectious energy of their collaboration, many were left captivated—and a bit perplexed—by Rema’s unusual look.
