‘People think I had kids with Tyna Onwudiwe’ – Charly Boy

Charly Boy Reflects on His Relationship with Late Singer Tyna Onwudiwe

Veteran singer Charly Boy has shared insights into his close bond with the late Tyna Onwudiwe.

Charly Boy revealed that he and Tyna Onwudiwe considered marriage, but ultimately decided against it.

According to him, during an introspective conversation, they concluded that their relationship was better suited as a deep friendship.

Charly Boy remembered Tyna’s kind-hearted nature, recalling her willingness to help others.

He addressed the widespread rumors about their relationship, clarifying that they were solely close friends.

Charly Boy noted that some people mistakenly believed him to be the father of Tyna’s children.

He attributed these misconceptions to their strong friendship and his involvement in her life.

“I almost married Tyna [Onwudiwe]. One day, we sat down and talked about it. I said, oh, no, I don’t see myself marrying two wives.

“And by the way, if we get married, we will kill ourselves. Let’s be good friends. And we became the best of all friends. Tyna was such a beautiful soul. She would give her last penny to a stranger. That was who she always was.

“People used to tease me by calling her my wife. They said your wife has cancer. I wanted somebody, a female to help me with that. Because if I was doing it on my own, people will say, of course, is she not your girlfriend? Is she not your wife?

“In fact, some of her kids, people think they’re my kids” he said.

In another story, Charly boy recalls time with late singer Sound Sultan.

On his Instagram page, Charly Boy fondly recalled their unique and warm friendship, describing it as one of a kind.
