Comedian and film editor, known by the stage name Mr. Overdo, has come forward with a sensational account of his tumultuous experiences working for the controversial Nollywood couple, Judy Austin and Yul Edochie.
In a gripping new clip posted on Instagram, he lays bare the harsh realities he faced while employed as Yul Edochie’s personal assistant and film editor, detailing a saga that’s as shocking as it is revealing.
Mr. Overdo revealed that he made the bold decision to leave his thriving content creation job in Lagos to pursue an opportunity in Abuja after Yul offered him a position.
The comedian spoke of their past productive working relationship, but what followed was a nightmare he never saw coming. Initially, he said things seemed promising, but it wasn’t long before Judy began to unleash her fury on him.
He revealed that during his time with them, Judy Austin had Yul under her control, pullef the strings and made him bend to her every whim.
The Content Creator emphasized that he had no personal grievances with Yul, describing him as easygoing, but Judy’s treatment was a different story. Mr. Overdo recounted chilling instances where he was belittled, disrespected, and even insulted.
Mr Overdo claimed there were days when he was starved, callrd Judy a “pompous and arrogant lady” who wielded her power with disdain.
Compounding his frustrations, he lamented that he was never compensated for the few film editing jobs he managed to complete during his time with them.
He shared alleged screenshots of WhatsApp messages sent to Yul, detailing Judy’s harsh treatment and pleading for assistance.
According to him, Yul’s advice to him was to move out of his hone and seek independence to escape Judy’s oppressive behavior.
The young man recounted that he complied with Yul’s advice, moved out and returned to Lagos.
However, he said things took a drastic turn when the couple blocked his number and cut all ties with him online. Left isolated and without support, he finds himself back at square one.
