Justice for Mohbad: Yomi Fabiyi announces Sept 30 protest at Lagos Assembly

Yomi Fabiyi Schedules Protest for Mohbad

Nollywood actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi has organized a protest to demand justice for the late singer Mohbad.

The protest is scheduled to take place on September 30 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, coinciding with the resumption of the coroner’s inquest into Mohbad’s death.

Fabiyi urges the public to join him in protesting to pressure the police to access the CCTV footage from Mohbad’s house, which he believes is crucial in uncovering the truth behind his death.

He called on the Lagos State government to intervene and set up a committee to retrieve the CCTV content.

Fabiyi claims that those responsible for Mohbad’s death are attempting to cover up the truth by spending large sums of money to create distractions and obscure evidence.

He said:

“It is imperative that we mount legitimate pressure and protest peacefully to the gate of the Lagos State House of Assembly on the 30th of September, 2024.

“Those who cut Mohbad’s life short are spending millions of naira to see that they cover up, create distractions and bury the many blatant evidence.

“We are so sure that the CCTV cameras in and outside Mohbad’s house were working, and they store remotely someone and not via DVR. The builder of the houses of similar patterns and Royal Pine Estate, Off Orchid Road, Lekki security, and CDA have answers to where these facts are stored.

“Why the Police did not wish to retrieve it can be very frustrating. We the masses do not want to put laws into our hands by going to ask for it, hence we need the true representative of the people of Lagos State to wade in and set up committee to summon, visit and bring the truth out.

“COME ONE, COME ALL, AND LETS SPEAK IN ONE VOICE on the 30th of September 2024. This struggle needs you. Be orderly and civil when attending.”

Mohbad died on September 12, 2023. His death was met with shock and sadness from his fans, and many have been demanding justice for him.

It is worth noting that Mohbad’s family has rejected the call for a protest, stating that it may disrupt the court proceedings and jeopardize the investigation. However, Fabiyi remains resolute in his pursuit of justice for Mohbad and is urging the public to join him in the protest.
