Nigerian Social media critic Martins Otse, famously known as Verydarkman, has ignited fresh intrigue after recounting a heated phone conversation with rapper Folarin Falana, better known as Falz The Bahd Guy, in a new video.
The online critic revealed how Afrobeats star Seun Kuti played an unexpected role in the saga, encouraged him to reach out to Falz directly to get the rapper’s take on being dragged into the explosive scandal involving crossdresser Bobrisky.
According to VDM, Falz, during the call, expressed his deep frustration over the swirling social media drama, admitted it had taken a toll on him.
Verydarkman said he asked him whether he’d heard any damaging rumors about his family, particularly his renowned father, Femi Falana, or himself.
VDM, in response, said he made it clear that while he had never heard a negative word about Falz’s father, he deliberately remained tight-lipped on the rumors surrounding the rapper.
He alleged that during their phone conversation, Falz attempted to set him up by recording the call to collect evidence for a potential court case against him.
His words;
“I spoke to Falz on the phone, he tried to bait me and record me I have nothing to apologize for”
The social media crusader added that, he stood his ground, vehemently denied any defamation on his part and boldly challenged Falz, insisting that if anyone deserved a legal letter, it should be Bobrisky, who had dragged both their names into the viral audio clip that started the firestorm.
Verydarkman said;
“Falz should be addressing that letter to Bobrisky not me, he’s the one that mentioned his name. I didn’t defame him and I stand on it,”
