Big Brother Naija winner Phyna recently found herself embroiled in a heated exchange with a social media user who criticized her support for activist Very Dark Man (VDM).
Phyna had publicly endorsed VDM, urging him to run for President of Nigeria under the Youth Democratic Party (YDP) amidst his high-profile disputes with Falz, Bobrisky, and the EFCC.
Phyna’s bold declaration sparked a reaction from VDM, who promised to take her on a date after his meeting with the House of Representatives.
However, their exchange didn’t sit well with an X user, who derisively labeled Phyna and VDM as “two fools from Edo State.” Phyna swiftly responded, unleashing a scathing retort that sparked controversy.
She referred to him as an “Igbo goat that ate his ancestors.” This biting reply ignited a firestorm on social media, with many weighing in on the altercation.

In other news, Phyna shared her thoughts on Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration, expressing deep frustration with the state of the nation.
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), the BBNaija winner lamented the lack of progress despite the country turning 64 years old, saying there is nothing worth celebrating.
She pointed to widespread hunger, poor infrastructure, floods, and the absence of quality education and roads as key issues plaguing the country.
Phyna highlighted the disconnect between the government and its citizens, criticizing leaders for not listening to the people. She remarked that while Nigeria has aged, the nation is still grappling with the same fundamental problems, with little improvement in the quality of life for its citizens.
Speaking further, she likened the situation of Nigeria to an old person who remains unwise despite his/her age, underscoring the stagnation of the country’s development.
Phyna averred that she feels ashamed rather than proud on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence Day.
