Nigeria @60: Regina Daniels dragged over recent post

Regina Daniels celebrated Nigeria as it turned 60 today, sparking a barrage of comments online.


Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has amassed backlash from netizens due to her post on Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration.

In her post, Regina wished her followers a happy Independence Day, expressing her love and optimism for the country despite its current challenges.

She acknowledged the difficulties Nigeria is facing but emphasized that Nigerians still have a deep love for their homeland.

Regina also asked for God’s blessings upon Nigeria, referring to it as a beloved and great country.

Alongside her Independence Day wishes, Regina also welcomed her followers to the new month of October, noting that it is her birth month.

She wrote:

“Happy Independence Day to my beloved country Nigeria. Regardless of how and where we are in our country right now, we all know we still love her dearly and together we will strive to make her better. ….. God bless our beloved & great country Nigeria 🇳🇬 ❤️ #NIGERIA@64. Happy new month guys ! Welcome to my birth month 😁.”

The post subsequently attracted criticism from netizens accordingly. While some dragged her for the ‘Happy Independence Day’ post, others commented on her photos which they claimed with overly edited.
