- On-air personality Do2dtun took to Instagram on independence day to share his thoughts on the situation of the country
- He highlighted that leaders must prioritize the people’s needs over personal interests.
On-air personality Do2dtun has shared an important message, questioning the significance of celebrating Nigeria’s Independence Day.
Taking to his Instagram page, he wondered whether the country is truly making progress or just going through the motions.
Do2dtun’s words highlight the struggles and hardships faced by many Nigerians, emphasizing the need for a reality check.
He stressed that the blame game and finger-pointing won’t solve the problems, and it’s time for collective action.
Do2dtun urged Nigerians to acknowledge their struggles and take responsibility for their part in building a better nation, rather than just celebrating with flags and jokes.
He emphasized that leaders must prioritize the people’s needs over personal interests.
He wrote:
“What are we celebrating? The fume or the smoke? or the needles or the thorns ? or the depression or the tiredness?
The question is a resounding one that needs no answer cos the answer is already on our faces; in our tired hearts and hands. It bleeds yet we still need it to dig a soil you are not sure will give you oil of death or Gold.
It is time for a reality check. Things are very very hard and it has become a ripple effect where the next person have a prepared speech of blaming the person before him or her.
WHEN WILL THE BLAME GAMES END ??? WHO WILL JUST FIX IT AND NEVER WORRY ABOUT WHO DIDINT. WHEN WILL OUR TEARS BE WORTH MORE THAN THE PAIN ?
On a day like this; we can all go about our business, fly our flags and forget the focus by covering it with our clothes, jokes; non-Challant approach but you cant erase the pain of the hardship to our lives. We need to also learn to speak about our struggles and also do our part as citizens.
The problems might be enormous, but I believe it can’t fixed if our leaders put the people first over their emotions. May Nigeria be chosen for a miracle one day. We need it even more now.”
