Famous Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has been declared the biggest Nigerian artist of all time on Apple Music.
The announcement was made as the streaming giant celebrated Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day by revealing the top 10 most streamed Nigerian artists and songs in its history.
Leading the chart, Burna Boy secured the top spot, followed closely by Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Asake.
The remaining five artists on the list include Tems, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, BNXN, and Olamide, rounding off the top 10.
In addition to artist rankings, Apple Music also highlighted the most streamed Nigerian songs on its platform.
Rema’s global hit remix of “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, claimed the number one position as the most streamed Nigerian song of all time.
Burna Boy’s “Last Last” and Wizkid’s “Essence,” featuring Tems, followed in second and third place, respectively.
Other notable tracks on the top 10 list include Tems’ “Free Mind” at number four, Burna Boy’s “Ye” at number five, and “Location” by Dave and Burna Boy at number six.
The list also features Rema’s original “Calm Down,” Ayra Starr’s “Rush,” Burna Boy’s “On The Low,” and Wizkid’s “Come Closer,” featuring Drake.
