Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has accepted a request from Big Brother Naija housemate Wanni to join her movie production team.

Wanni had expressed her interest in working with Funke Akindele and Kunle Afolayan during a conversation with fellow housemates.

She said: “Me, I want to be in Funke Akindele’s and Kunle Afolayan’s production.

Funke Akindele is very big. The quality of her movies is top notch and she has been in the game. She’s OG.”

Sharing the video, an X user @GloriaNapier9, tagged Funke Akindele, urging her to consider Wanni’s request.

Funke Akindele responded by resharing the clip and welcoming Wanni to her team. She wrote:

Taking to her Instagram page, Funke Akindele shared a group photo of the entire crew, accompanied by a heartfelt appreciation post.

In her message, she expressed her gratitude towards her colleagues from Nigeria and Ghana for their seamless collaboration during the nine-week shoot.

The actress emphasized her commitment to empowering the next generation of filmmakers, noting that 95% of the crew members were young professionals.

Funke Akindele highlighted the importance of providing opportunities for young talent to showcase their skills, stating that the project was entirely self-funded.

She wrote:
