Wizkid, Davido using controversy to stay relevant – Portable

Portable reacts to Wizkid and Davido’s long-term rivalry

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has claimed that his colleagues Wizkid and Davido are using their beef to remain relevant in the music industry.

According to him, the duo’s music is no longer marketable; hence, they resolved to use beef for promotion.

The ‘Zazu’ crooner urged them to stop taking each other down for promotion.

Portable stated that he is not with either of them in the ongoing social media war.

On his Instagram story, he wrote:

“Don’t use your brother to shine, shine yourself. Una songs no dey market again, na fight una dey use do promotion.

“Let’s forget fake promotions, I get hit songs. Portable is bigger than them. Who is big is big…

“Me, I no dey for Davido. Me, I no dey for Wizkid. I dey for myself. That’s why I dey for those who dey for me.”

Wizkid and Davido

Recall that Wizkid, who began dragging Davido on Tuesday night, labelling him “wack” and talentless,” resumed dragging the DMW boss, including his family on Wednesday despite Davido not responding to his tantrums.

Portable is not the only celebrity to react to the duo’s rivalry as On-Air-Personality, Do2dtun, also shared how he feels about the ongoing rift between singers Davido and Wizkid.

According to the presenter, anytime both singers choose to drop their songs, their fans will still listen, and they will make money.

Do2dtun asserted that though rivalry is common in the music industry, Davido and Wizkid’s case had extended for too long.
