“Only a few Afrobeat artists are making money at the moment” – Paulo Okoye

Paulo Okoye Cries Out and Afrobeats Goes Down

Talent manager Paulo Okoye has expressed his concerns about the current state of Afrobeats, stating that the genre is facing a decline.

He noted that three years ago, every artist was doing better than they are now, and only a few are currently making money.

Paulo emphasized that this is a factual observation, and he can count on one hand the number of Afrobeats artists who are thriving financially.

He also highlighted that the situation is not only affecting the global reach of Afrobeats but also its local presence, with a significant lack of financial opportunities.

He wrote:

Afrobeats is going through a lot lately!! Every Afrobeat artist was doing way better 3 years ago compared to today!!

Only a few are making money at the moment, and that’s a fact!!

can count on my one hand the Afrobeat artists who are making money Now!!
Globally things are falling apart for Afrobeats.
Locally, it’s even worse: no money anywhere.

Our bright stars will continue to shine and the world will continue to recognize our greatness.

Afrobeat is going through a lot lately”.

In another story, Paulo Okoye appeals to Tinubu, Dangote and others to reduce the price of Fuel to N450.

Okoye’s plea comes amidst fuel scarcity and rising prices, which have caused significant hardship for many Nigerians.

He humbly requested that they demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of Nigerians by taking action to lower fuel costs.

Through his Instagram post, Paulo Okoye highlighted that his message was not a command, but a sincere request.

He wrote:

“Our President

Oga Aliko Dangote

NNPCL CEO

If you believe you love Nigerians,

You should reduce the price of petroleum to N450.

We dey beg Please Biko” .
