Miss Universe Nigeria queen Chidimma Adetshina has officially been named the brand ambassador for Enugu State by Governor Peter Mbah.
The announcement came on Thursday, October 11, during a visit to the Government House in Enugu by Chidimma and her father, Okechukwu Onwe.
Governor Mbah praised Chidimma for her resilience and determination in overcoming various challenges throughout her journey.
He expressed his commitment to supporting her as she prepares to represent Nigeria in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
Chidimma, born in 2001 to a Nigerian father from Enugu and a Mozambican mother, previously faced adversity when she withdrew from the Miss South Africa pageant due to online bullying from some South Africans.
In a heartfelt response to her appointment, Chidimma expressed her gratitude to the Enugu government and its people for their overwhelming support.
She wrote:
“I received the honour of being in the presence of the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah. Upon my homecoming, I was received and appointed as the brand ambassador of Enugu State 🥹🙏🏽🇳🇬.
