Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikToker Ojesanmi Afeez alias Oloba Salo was shot in the Lekki area of the state.
Tunde Perry, a friend of Oloba Salo, raised alarm over the incident on Thursday.
Perry, also a TikToker, said his friend was fighting for his life at Perez Medcare Hospital, Lekki Phase 2 after he was shot in the leg by assailants who robbed him of his gold chain. Perry said:
“They have shot Salo in the leg. They have also stolen his gold chain at one filling station in Lekki. Some boys just rushed him to the hospital and I have gone there now.”
A trending video showed Oloba Salo’s white AMG GLE 43 Mercedes Benz car stained with blood with a case of bullet on the driver seat of the vehicle.
Before the incident, Oloba Salo, in a video, pleaded with his manager simply identified as Sula to provide him with security personnel.
“Sula, please provide me with security. I ought to have had. Help me with one mopol, Sula, my daddy,” he screamed.
Also called Ogba president, the content creator earlier had an altercation with his fellow TikToker Tobi Nation when the latter got a new apartment.
Oloba Salo claimed to have connected Tobi Nation with the agent that sold his Lekki house to him, but Tobi Nation disagreed saying that he didn’t subscribe to the payment option suggested to him.
However, Tobi Nation said he tried to visit him in the hospital after the attack but was not granted entry.
Lagos police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, in a post on X, appreciated doctors at Evercare Hospital.
“Special appreciation/commendation to Evercare Hospital, Lekki for promptly accepting/commencing medical treatment of gunshot victim, Ojesanmi Afeez aka Oloba Salo, and equally promptly notifying the Police,” he wrote, urging other hospitals not to reject gunshot victims.
