Nigerian rapper Jeriq has taken to social media to recount a disturbing encounter with armed police officers and to demand justice for his late friend.
In a recent post, Jeriq shared a personal experience where he narrowly escaped mayhem during an encounter with police officers.
According to him, while heading to record music with artist 1da Banton on Orchid Road, about eight police officers armed with AK-47s attempted to stop him. Jeriq chose not to stop, fearing they would rob him. The officers responded by shooting at his car, damaging his side mirror.
Expressing sadness over the death of his friend Smith, Jeriq revealed that last Sunday, he was driving home in his Benz when police officers shot at him twice and this took his life.
The rapper expressed his grief and frustration over the loss of his friend and demanded justice with the hashtag #justice4smith.
He wrote:

Last Sunday, my bro was riding home in his Benz the police shot at him twice and now my bro is dead. #justice4smith.”

Reacting to the sad development, rapper Dan Dizzy wrote: “Bro police wey dey online and the ones we dey see for street nah two different people.”
