The lavish party organized for this significant milestone was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom.
In a moment during the ceremony, the Ooni shared heartfelt reflections on his past, recalling a time when he celebrated a birthday alone, without a queen by his side.
“I have celebrated a birthday as king without a queen. I was alone, but I thanked God for today. Many mocked me, saying that a king without a queen commands no respect. Now, look at me; there are queens all around the palace,” he said in Yoruba.
To further commemorate the occasion, the traditional ruler led guests in singing two gospel songs.
