- Nigerian singer, Burna Boy claimed that he has far more possessions than he needs.
- He boasted that he could donate millions of dollars but wouldn’t because he doesn’t like Nigerians.
Grammy-winning artist Damini Ogulu, widely recognized as Burna Boy, recently shared his thoughts on his financial status.
Burna Boy stated that his possessions exceed what he truly requires.
In a candid statement, the singer indicated that while he has the capacity to contribute millions of dollars to charitable causes, he would choose not to do so due to his feelings towards his fellow Nigerians.
He expressed this sentiment on his Instagram story, stating:
“I don’t even need most of the sh!t I got. I could really give out millions of dollars right now, but I don’t like y’all.”
Meanwhile Burna Boy has been reported as the most charted Nigerian artist in US Billboard history.
Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has surpassed his colleague Tems to become the Nigerian artist with the most entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This milestone was achieved following the debut of the song “We Pray,” performed by Coldplay featuring Burna Boy, Little Simz, Elyanna, and Tini Stoessel, which entered the chart at No. 87 this week.
With this latest entry, Burna Boy has now reached a total of six Billboard Hot 100 chart entries, breaking a tie with Tems, who has five.
This impressive feat places Burna Boy ahead of Wizkid, the first Nigerian artist to make a mark on the chart, who has recorded four entries.
Other notable Nigerian artists such as Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay each hold one entry on the prestigious chart.
Burna Boy is now just one song away from breaking the record held by South African rock band Seether for the most Billboard Hot 100 chart entries by an African artist.
