Isese: Oluwo of Iwo chased me when I visited him – Ooni of Ife voices out at an event (VIDEO)

This incident underscores the deep-seated tensions that can exist even within revered institutions, highlighting how personal grievances can intertwine with broader cultural and ideological conflicts.

In an astonishing revelation that has shaken the foundations of traditional royalty in Osun State, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, disclosed a dramatic encounter during a recent visit to the palace of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi.

In a TikTok video that has gone viral and captivated audiences across social media, Ogunwusi recounted how he was literally chased out of Oluwo’s palace, a scene that left many in shock and disbelief.

While the Ooni of Ife maintained a respectful demeanor in the clip, carefully avoiding overtly addressing any feud—maintaining an air of respect for his fellow king— the revelations of his visit reveal a deeper rift.

Speaking, the Ooni of Ife said, “When I visited Oluwo, he chased me out like a child, since that incident, I have always maintained myself going close to him. Now that you people (attendees) are imploring that I visit him again, what if he does what he likes to me?

“But I have to contain his excesses as an elder, although I am a young person sitting on the throne of the elders. Oluwo, I greet you.”

Sources close to the situation indicate that Oluwo has been increasingly displeased with the Ooni’s close associations with traditionalists—individuals he derogatorily labels as “idol worshippers.”

The incident has ignited a firestorm of speculation, leading many to question the stability of the relationship between these two revered figures.
