Nigerian male celebrities in hot seat as Daddy Freeze makes bold gay accusations in new clip

In a world where talent often takes a backseat to connections, the whispers of same-sex relationships among celebrities reveal a darker underbelly of ambition and survival. Daddy Freeze’s revelations about the hidden lives of entertainers prompt a deep reflection on the nature of success

Nigerian media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Daddy Freeze, has waded into the blazing conversation surrounding gay relationships within the entertainment industry, throwing more fuel into an already heated topic.

The Nigerian social media space was set on fire after controversial Blog, Gistlover, dropped bombshell revelations, listing male celebrities who were allegedly involved in same-gender relationships.

This revelation coincided with controversies trailing release of crossdresser Bobrisky from jail, a drama that already had the public buzzing.

As the whispers grew louder, Daddy Freeze, never one to shy away from contentious issues, stepped in to give his two cents.

In a striking Facebook video post, Daddy Freeze didn’t mince words, directly corroborated the anonymous claims circulating online.

He introduced a coded term—’Agege’—to describe the alleged lifestyle of many celebrities in Nigeria, a euphemism that suggests an underlying truth about their private lives.

The media personality claimed that numerous stars engage in same-gender relationships, not out of personal inclination, but as a strategic maneuver to enhance their careers and wield influence in the cutthroat world of entertainment.

He went on to assert that some of these celebrities are married, and even more scandalous, their spouses are reportedly aware of their extracurricular activities.

In his words:

“Sometimes, na Agege connect! You know what I’m talking about. Many celebs dey do Agege so that album go fit sell, so that dem go fit get that feature, dey that movie, dey that caucus! Go and listen to that song by Red Hot Chilli Peppers! Go and listen to the words so that you will understand what people do to be part of the creme de la creme inside the society!

“Sometimes, the reason your men are Agege is because you cannot step down. Sometimes, the men just don’t want you to step down! They want their wives to drive the nicest cars, they want to always make sure that their wives fly business class, they want to make sure that their children have the best and then they go and sell their soul.

“So many men, their wives know that their husband dey do the Agege and they and their wife don talk am.

“Let me tell you, the love for money in Nigeria is so great that women know what their husbands are doing and they look away and men know what their wives are doing and they look away as long as they can pay the bill.”
