Foluke Daramola’s husband confirms marriage to new wife, son’s birth

Foluke Daramola’s husband Kayode Salako addresses claims of marrying third wife

Politician Kayode Salako has addressed rumours surrounding his marital life, clarifying that he has indeed taken another wife, with the blessing of his actress wife, Foluke Daramola.

Although the couple have been married for 13 years, they have no children together.

In a Facebook post titled “Foluke is involved!”, Salako shared insights into their relationship, stating that he spent years seeking Foluke’s understanding about his desire to have children who will be with him in Nigeria.

He explained in part:

“It took me 3 years of begging Foluke Daramola-Salako, my wife, to allow me to have at least one or two children here in Nigeria, for the security of my old age.”

Salako expressed his hopes of living a life surrounded by family, noting his love for children and desire for companionship in his later years.

The former chairman of Labour Party (Lagos chapter) further explained how Foluke eventually agreed to his request, thanks in part to the involvement of her mother.

Following this, Salako met Oluwafunke Salako, who is now his second wife and the mother of their young son, Murewa Salako.

He elaborated on his current family arrangement, describing how Foluke and Funke share a close relationship, even celebrating Murewa’s milestones together.

Salako also clarified that his older children reside in America with their mother, making Murewa the only child with him in Nigeria.

Reflecting on his journey, he said:

“Foluke has been involved from the beginning. This happened with her understanding and permission. I want to live and die surrounded by my children.”

In 2023, Foluke was accused of breaking up Salako’s former marriage, a claim she denied.

She acknowledged, however, that her husband is a polygamist with children from various relationships.

The couple got married in 2010. See screenshot of Foluke Daramola’s husband’s facebook post below:
