Martins Otse, known on social media as VeryDarkMan, has ignited a legal battle against Alex Ikwechegh, a Federal House of Representatives member from Abia, following a shocking video that has spread like wildfire across social media.
The video captures the lawmaker’s assault on Bolt driver Stephen Abuwatseya, a moment filled with threats and intimidation that left many viewers outraged.
In the clip, Ikwechegh appears to slap the driver, arrogantly declaring he could lock him up in his generator house and ominously suggesting he could make him “disappear.”
Ikwechegh asked in viral video
“Do you who I am? So you think I will give you my money the way you have spoken to me?
“I did a drop for you and you have to pay, Sir”, the taxi driver replied.
Later footage shows the driver, shirtless, claiming that Ikwechegh tore his clothes during the altercation.
The driver said Ikwechegh called Police officers who bundled him to their station.
This incident has drawn condemnation across social media, with many accusing the lawmaker of exploiting his position and calling for justice.
