American rapper Curtis Jackson, popularly known as 50 Cent has revealed that he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York.
In a recent interview on ‘The Breakfast Club‘, the rapper, explained that he rejected the offer because he’s afraid of politics and its controversial nature.
50 Cent stated that he’s not interested in getting involved in politics because it always leads to disagreements and arguments.
He also mentioned that he was asked to perform his song “Many Men” at the Republican National Convention for a similar sum, but he turned down that offer as well.
“I didn’t even go far… I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid about politics.
“It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you,” he said.
It’s worth noting that 50 Cent has been complimentary of Trump in the past, stating that Black men can identify with him because of their shared experiences with the justice system.

50 Cent said:
“Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I have not. It’s really me just saying what I have been saying for 10 years.
“Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with Diddy’s stuff, but away from that. I’m like, Yo, it is just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because it is not my style.”
