- Nigerian TikTok influencer Peller is reportedly on the FBI’s watchlist due to past involvement in internet fraud, a.k.a “Yahoo-Yahoo.”
- Journalist Kemi Olunloyo claims to have received information from an FBI source regarding Peller’s suspected cybercrime activities.
- In a TikTok live session, Peller allegedly admitted to engaging in cyber fraud before transitioning to a legitimate content creation career.
- Olunloyo expressed concern that Peller’s previous statements could lead to serious legal repercussions, comparing his situation to that of Hushpuppi, who is imprisoned for similar offenses.
Nigerian TikTok star Peller is reportedly being monitored by the FBI due to alleged past involvement in internet fraud, commonly known as “Yahoo-Yahoo.”
The claims came to light through controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo, who stated on social media that an FBI source had informed her of Peller’s suspected connection to cybercrime.
Olunloyo revealed in an audio post that Peller once openly admitted during a TikTok live session to engaging in internet fraud before gaining fame and transitioning to a legitimate career in content creation.
She warned that these past confessions could lead to serious legal implications for the young influencer, likening his situation to that of Hushpuppi a popular Nigerian influencer currently serving a prison sentence in the United States for cybercrime.
“If you know Peller, please tell him to SFTU. He is about to single-handedly ruin his own future,” Olunloyo cautioned, suggesting that his admissions could attract further scrutiny from law enforcement.
The revelations have triggered a wave of responses on social media, with some viewers brushing off Olunloyo’s claims as sensationalism, while others raised concerns about the potential consequences if her information proves accurate.
