Popular Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law, has raised questions directed at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding the recent re-arrest of well-known crossdresser Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky.
The comedian took to social media on Friday to express his concerns following Bobrisky’s latest detention incident.
WITHIN Nigeria reports that Bobrisky was apprehended by EFCC officials on Thursday night at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while he was attempting to board a flight to London.
This marks his second arrest within days, as he was previously detained at the Seme border while allegedly trying to leave Nigeria.
Reacting to the incident, Seyi Law questioned the purpose of the re-arrest, particularly criticizing the approach taken by the EFCC.
On his official X (formerly Twitter) account, he wrote:
“I don’t understand this Bobrisky’s case abeg. Did any court ask him not to travel? Why allow him to get on the plane and humiliate him like this?”
