A South African man has publicly expressed his support for Nigerian beauty queen, Chidimma Adetshina, a gesture that has captured the attention of social media users.

The video, shared by Twitter user @chichi_vanessa, shows the South African man openly backing Chidimma, despite the backlash she received from his fellow countrymen earlier this year.

Chidimma, who was initially a contestant in the Miss South Africa pageant, faced severe bullying from South African nationals, which ultimately led to her withdrawal from the competition.

This shocking display of hostility prompted an outpouring of support for her from Nigerians and other well-wishers worldwide.

In response, Miss Universe Nigeria extended an invitation to Chidimma, offering her a platform where she could continue to shine.

In his heartfelt message, the South African man revealed that some of his compatriots had even been arrested for showing support for Chidimma.

Undeterred by the consequences, he bravely chose to publicly express his solidarity with the young beauty queen.

Chidimma’s story has gained more attention recently after she was ranked third in the Miss Universe 2024 pre-arrival hot picks, securing her spot on the global stage ahead of the pageant on November 16, 2024.

The video of the South African man’s support has sparked a wide range of reactions on social media.
