Did you just call KOK a stupid man?- Netizens tackle Yul Edochie over jabs at brother Linc, comment on Davido

The backlash has been fierce, with many questioning if Yul’s anger is more about his wounded pride than any loyalty lesson. Yul turned his post into a lecture on the sanctity of family, warned that once a family bond is broken in public, it is hard to repair.

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stirred up a storm online, leaving fans buzzing with outrage after his recent post, where he unleashed a torrent of anger over public family criticism.

His fury was ignited after his elder brother, Linc Edochie, appeared on KOK Live, a show hosted by their respected colleague, Kanayo O. Kanayo.

During the show, Kanayo probed Linc about Yul’s controversial marriage to Judy Austin—a question that saw Linc openly disagree with his younger brother’s choices, urged him to stop flaunting his relationship on social media.

This bold public stance struck a nerve with Yul, who took to Instagram in a searing post, railing against what he saw as a betrayal within the family.

Enraged by Linc’s words and Kanayo’s probing questions, Yul didn’t hold back, calling it “unwise and weakening” for a family member to publicly condemn another.

He dragged Linc through a series of sharp, unfiltered insults, going so far as to seemingly and subtly insult Kanayo for hosting the interview that he felt crossed family boundaries.

He wrote in parts;

“Never castigate your family in public.
Never, that’s the sign of a weak person. Since you don’t know, let me educate you.

“The stupid person that sat you down to discuss your family, tell him to discuss his own family first”

Doubling down on his stance, Yul pointed to Davido and his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, as a model of how family unity should look in the public eye.

His words;

“You no dey see Davido and his uncle? Once you see them in public they are hugging, dancing and happy. Any matter wey dey na inside house dem dey treat am”
