Bimbo Akintola encouraged young people to avoid conforming to generational labels and instead, concentrate on their unique journey.

She stressed the need for a five-year plan to measure success and progress.

My advice to young talents is to stop being Gen Z or Gen X or millennial and focus on what they want for their lives. Don’t follow everyone else; stand out. Do something for you. Don’t follow the trends; do what is most important. Think about your life; nobody told me this when I was younger. Have a five-year plan. That way, you will know if you are failing or succeeding.”

The actress also shared her personal frustration with being typecast in the same role repeatedly.

She highlighted the importance of versatility and switching between characters to tell diverse stories.

One of the things I hate is being stuck; I don’t want to be stuck playing one character. I think it’s important to be able to move from character to character so one can tell different stories. Being stuck means you can only tell one kind of story. What I want is to be able to touch as many lives as possible, and to do that, one has to be different people.”

In another story, Bimbo Akintola and Labista, in new video, discuss female colleagues dating Nigerian politicians.

This candid conversation with Labista has ignited a firestorm of discussion online, as Bimbo passionately shared her insights on earnings in Nollywood and the pervasive myths that it’s a billionaire-making industry.

As the conversation unfolded, Bimbo boldly dismissed the rampant rumors that Nollywood stars are swimming in wealth and luxury.

In a clip that quickly went viral, she emphatically stated that, despite her extensive experience in the industry, she cannot claim to be “stinkingly rich.”

Instead, she expressed frustration at the false narratives propagated by some of her female colleagues, who present a facade of opulence and success to their fans, suggesting that wealth is an effortless outcome of acting.
