Pete Edochie gets honest, speaks on Yul’s union with Judy Austin in new interview with Blessing CEO (VIDEO)

In today’s fast-paced, social media-driven society, where everything seems disposable and up for negotiation, Pete's take on Yul’s marriage and the generational divide surrounding it has sparked a deeper conversation about what loyalty, commitment, and family mean in the modern age.

Self-proclaimed relationship expert, Blessing Okoro—also known as Blessing CEO—had the honor of interviewing Nollywood icon Pete Edochie in an exclusive sit-down at his home, for an episode of her show Moments with Blessing.

Fans, followers, and critics had been eagerly waiting for Pete’s unfiltered thoughts on his son Yul Edochie’s controversial second marriage, and Blessing’s conversation did not disappoint.

As the interview unfolded, Blessing learned some surprising details about the veteran actor’s life, including his remarkable 55-year-long marriage to one woman, a commitment he has held steadfastly to.

This revelation prompted Blessing to probe further, asking for his thoughts on his son Yul’s decision to take a second wife, despite being married to May Edochie, with whom he shares three children.

Pete’s response was as blunt and unvarnished as you would expect from a man of his stature, but it was far from a clear-cut answer.

While he didn’t come right out and criticize his son, Pete made it abundantly clear that he believes in sticking to one woman and staying loyal to the vows you take on the day you marry.

He decried polygamy, called monogamy a practice he inherited from his father, one he has dutifully upheld for decades.

However, Pete’s candid advice to the younger generation, presumably toYul, to honor the family tradition of sticking to one woman was met with an unexpected twist.

The veteran actor revealed the bitter truth that in today’s world, when someone like him urges younger people to hold on to such values, they are often dismissed as ‘old school’, old-fashioned, out of touch with the times, and incapable of keeping up with the ever-evolving norms of modern marriage and relationships.
