Peter Okoye slams Rudeboy over song theft claim

Veteran Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P of the Nigerian music duo Psquare, has fired back at his twin brother, Rudeboy (Paul Okoye), following accusations of song theft.

The dispute centers around Peter’s recent release, Attention, which Rudeboy claims was sampled from his upcoming album, set for release in June 2025.

In a recent Instagram post, Peter denied the accusation, asserting that he has evidence to prove his innocence.

He challenged Rudeboy’s claims, stating, “Anyone that says anything false about me, and I have evidence, then I have a right to defend myself.”

Peter also addressed Rudeboy’s attempt to have the song removed from music platforms, revealing that Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, had involved a lawyer to take legal action against the track.

He wrote:

Call us names, call us childish; it is fine.I understand, but anyone that says anything false about me and I have evidence, then I have a right to defend myself”.

“Let’s stay WINNING.You claimed you wrote the song and you didn’t know any @calypso60music. Then how come @calypso60music and I are now telling you what to sing?”.

“JUST FOR THE RECORD GUYS! JUDE And PAUL written through a Lawyer and are doing everything possibly to take the song down from all Music Platform. But i will fight will the end. 🙅‍♂️”.
