It’s been about 40 years for that [love]. I haven’t auditioned for a movie in about 40 years. I won an Academy Award in 1989. I’m sure no one has asked me to audition since then,” he said.

When asked if he misses the audition process, Denzel Washington responded with a definitive “No.”

“If Denzel Washington puts in the number of hours I put in a production here, his colour will change to charcoal the next day,” Kanayo said.
