Versatile Nigerian movie actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has thrown her support behind colleague Femi Adebayo as he prepares to release his highly anticipated film, Seven Doors.
Funke Akindele shared the film’s trailer on her Instagram page on Monday, encouraging her fans to get ready for its release. Funke Akindele captioned the trailer:

“Can’t wait to see this Limited series #sevendoors by @femiadebayosalami. Congrats Femi!!! This one go loud o!!! Out on #Netflix December 13!!! Legggooooooo.”
In an August interview with Independence, Femi Adebayo had hinted at the scope of his new project, describing it as “better than Jagun Jagun.” He elaborated on the film’s unique setting:
“The next movie that I said is bigger than Jagun Jagun is titled Seven Doors. It’s set in two eras—the 18th century and the 19th century—which means we have the old-school setting with those 504s and Volkswagens, and it also takes us back to that kind of Jagun Jagun environment.
“It’s a mix, featuring multiple tribes. It’s about a Yoruba king married to an Igbo woman, with a Hausa man coming to invest. It’s a showcase of Nigerian culture.”
The cast of Seven Doors includes an array of stars such as Femi Adebayo, Chioma Akpotha, Wumi Toriola, Yinka Quadri, Oshodi Oke, Dayo Amusa, Adebayo Salami and Gabriel Afolayan.
