Verydarkman, in new clip, expresses deep disappointment in Osimhen, Boniface, others

His words resonated with a nation that still remembers the glory of past tournaments, when Nigeria’s name struck fear into opponents and the team played with the pride of lions. VDM’s message is clear: Nigeria needs warriors on the field.

Nigerian activist and outspoken critic, Martins Vincent Otse, known to many as Verydarkman (VDM), unleashed a blistering tirade against the Super Eagles following their humiliating 2-1 defeat to Rwanda on home soil.

The shocking loss, which took place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, left fans enraged, and VDM was at the forefront of those expressing their utter disappointment.

Despite Nigeria’s early qualification, the Super Eagles’ attack, led by Victor Boniface, lacked cohesion in the first half. Victor Osimhen’s entry couldn’t change the tide, though Samuel Chukwueze scored the team’s only goal.

In his scathing address, VDM lambasted the players for what he described as a lack of heart and national pride. He zeroed in on the embarrassing collapse that saw the Super Eagles concede two goals in a stunning five-minute lapse.

Verydarkman questioned why Nigerian players who dominate in their European clubs seem to lose their fighting edge once they wear the green and white.

He insisted that some of the current squad simply aren’t good enough to represent the country. VDM urged the Nigerian Football Federation to stop making excuses and to overhaul the squad with players who possess the skill, heart, and determination to wear the national colors with pride.
