- A viral video capturingNollywood stars, including Vincent Opurum, attending a service at the Olumba Olumba’s church, has unleashed a torrent of emotions online.
- In the clip, Vincent Opurum addresses the congregation with glowing admiration, repeatedly referring to Olumba Olumba Obu as the ‘King of Kings.’
- This proclamation has struck a raw nerve, especially among Christians, who view the title as sacred and reserved exclusively for Jesus Christ.
Nigerians have been thrown into a frenzy over a viral video featuring Nollywood actor Vincent Opurum and his colleagues attending a gathering at the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS), popularly known as the Olumba Olumba headquarters, in Calabar, Cross River State.
Vincent Opurum was seen passionately addressing the congregation, sharing that a friend had invited him to partake in what he described as a momentous occasion to celebrate with His Holiness, Olumba Olumba Obu. Opurum, who openly declared himself “not a religious person,” admitted that his visit had been an eye-opener.
He claimed to have “seen the truth” during the service, a revelation that, in his words, compelled him to acknowledge Olumba Olumba Obu as the ‘King of Kings.’
This declaration, however, was far from the end of the intrigue. The actor went further to request a symbolic “golden handshake” from Olumba Olumba Obu on behalf of himself and his colleagues, a gesture the cleric graciously granted.
Another highlight in the clip showed a fellow actress praying aloud for God to grant Olumba Olumba Obu the wisdom and understanding to lead the congregation.

As the video circulated, Nigerians took to social media to express their displeasure. Many Christians fiercely rejected Opurum’s use of the ‘King of Kings’ title, calling it an affront to their faith. To them, this title belongs exclusively to Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of their belief system.
