Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time and the most-followed individual across social media, has opened up on his reaction to reaching one billion followers.

In a candid conversation with YouTube star MrBeast, the football legend expressed that while the milestone was significant, he was not taken aback by the achievement.

The 39-year-old, who is affectionately known as CR7, shared his thoughts during the latest episode of his YouTube channel UR Cristiano, which was released on Thursday.

In the video, Ronaldo reflected on his unprecedented success in garnering such a massive online following, attributing it to the global admiration for both his career and the sport of football.

Describing his record, Ronaldo said:

It was good. A good achievement, but I wasn’t surprised, to be honest.

“I know the passion that people have for me and for football as well. For the career I still have, I felt that passion, so it wasn’t a surprise.

“I feel happy, but in the same way, not surprised.”

Recall that in September, Ronaldo made history by becoming the first person to reach one billion followers across his social media platforms.
