Controversial Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has expressed strong disapproval over Yul Edochie and Judy Austin’s visit to Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje’s church for his birthday celebration.
Recall that a video of the moment the couple stormed the church surfaced online a few days ago. Yul and his wife, Judy were warmly received and led to the altar where Yul took to the microphone to hype himself and his wife before the congregation.
In light of this, Rita criticized Odumeje for allowing Judy and Yul, whom she referred to as “spiritually dirty,” to ascend the altar, calling it a sacred space meant for truth and holiness.
She described the act as a “grave abomination,” emphasizing that the altar should be reserved for individuals of pure spirit, not those with “ugly intentions.”
Rita particularly blamed Prophet Odumeje, her spiritual leader, for permitting such an incident, expressing her disappointment in a place she once held in high regard.
She further called out church members who joined in hailing Judy Austin instead of condemning/booing her on the spot. The veteran actress stressed the impact Judy Austin had on Yul Edochie’s family, accusing her of causing marital discord and emotional turmoil.
Rita called for spiritual cleansing of the altar, asserting that such defilement undermines the sanctity of religious spaces.
