- Tacha Akide has eventually shed light on why she decided to relocate abroad.
- In November, Tacha revealed she has moved to the UK, which led many to believe that it might have to do with the current economic situation in Nigeria.
- Clearing the air on her decision, the reality star in details, gave her reasons.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natacha Anita Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has revealed why she relocated abroad.
Almost three weeks ago, Tacha on her social media account announced her relocation to the United Kingdom.
Now in a chat with British media personality Madame Joyce, the reality TV star cum influencer disclosed that she relocated to the UK because she had “conquered” the Nigerian market. Tacha who on the same podcast spoke on her admiration for Nicki Minaj said:
“I relocated to the UK because I have conquered the whole of the Nigerian market. Relocating to the UK doesn’t mean I’m not going to do Nigerian deals. If the offer is good, why not?
“The influencing scene in Nigeria looks so beautiful, but behind the scenes, it’s not as beautiful as it seems because the money is poor. Someone would pay you N6 million, that’s around $3,000, for you to influence for six months and post two videos a month.
“The fee was the same when I left the Big Brother Naija show in 2019, but it made sense then. At least, you could book a plane ticket with it. But right now, $3,000 is nothing. N6 million seems good, but when you have to convert it to dollars, travel abroad, and spend money to look good, there’s nothing left.”
Meanwhile, in October, Nigerian singer, Sydney Esiri, better known as Dr Sid, confirmed his relocation to the United States of America.
Appearing on an episode of the ‘No Man’s Friend’ podcast on YouTube, the ‘Over The Moon’ hitmaker disclosed that he left Nigeria after he got a job in the U.S.
Similary, in June, Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba opened up on different aspects of his life including his style of music, relocation abroad and religion.
